My Rituals Relieve Stress Affirmation

I take deliberate action each day to feel calm and collected.

I start preparing for my day the night before. I avoid rushing around in the morning. I lay out the clothes I want to wear. I pack my children’s lunch bags and store them in the refrigerator.

I make my commute more pleasant and comfortable. I listen to audiobooks or a classical music station.

I plan my menus and sit down to eat. I savor each bite of delicious whole foods.

I connect with family and friends. I read books with my children and go out on dates with my partner. I join my friends for brunch and shopping.

I take time to reflect and pray. I sit down and take deep breaths. I scan my body for tense spots. I observe my thoughts without making judgements. I connect with something larger than myself. I contemplate my spiritual purpose.

I work out. Physical activity relaxes me and keeps me fit. I take exercise or dance classes. I lift weights. I run on the trails at my local park.

I enjoy my hobbies. I read books and magazines. I make art or play musical instruments.

I ease into bedtime. I turn off my phone and other devices at least one hour before bed. I take a warm bath and do some stretches. I drink herbal tea and put on soft pajamas.

Today, I follow routines that help me to deal with daily stress. I think positive and cultivate gratitude. I feel peaceful and content.
